The 09-10 sports season might come close to an end, but there remained one last step to climb for our instructor team this Sunday 27th June 2010. Indeed, they all went in Isère where they attended the Traditional Kung Fu 1st duan exam, which they all successfully passed. Once more, they gave their best at the right time.
All the hard work and the efforts brought by their perseverance and their constancy paid off, as they were acknowledged as black belts.
The work of a whole team was rewarded this Saturday 22nd May in Aubagne (13) during the 2010 edition of the France Traditional Taolu Kung Fu Championship.
By mounting the podium on 11 occasions, 5 of which as a first place, Loong Han Kung Fu is the competition’s highest-ranking school. This success is even more remarkable seeing as this was the team’s first participation in this competition.
Impressive is also the fact that every single member of the team finished among the top three for every category in which they competed, confirming a global high-level performance.

The 12th February 2010, The LHKF Team departed towards Hong Kong. Among the plans : visit, celebration of the Chine New Year, training, Lion Dance and Dragon Dance in the New Territories (Hong Kong), demonstration in the ancestral village of Xinhui in China (village of Chan Heung, founder of Choy Lay Fut)
On this Sunday 18th April 2010 was held the sport season’s last regional Open. Our competitors achieved success in both technical and fighting competitions, by mounting the podium on 15 occasions (7 Gold medals, 6 Silver, 2 Bronze). Here’s a big shout to them !
This success is closely linked to all of our supporters we want to thank for their precious support during this day. Thanks to : Marie and David, Yann, Michelle, Mélisande, Régis, Cécile and baby Anatole, Septh (with special thanks for the cake), Ned, Sasha and Elea.
On Sunday 7th February 2010 was held a regional Kung Fu competition in Venissieux. Helyes, Julia, Jules, Martin, Roïn and Neguine distinguished themselves by presenting technically proficient and varied forms: empty handed, long weapons, short weapons, double weapons…
Thanks to the quality of their performance, they brought back no less than 11 medals to the school, with 6 Gold among them, an excellent result for which we wish to praise them!
We also want to thank Sabine, Isaac, David, Brice, Michelle and Phy for coming to support our competitors.
Last 25th and 26th July 2009, The LHKF Team was in Baltimore (Maryland, USA), to compete in the 2009 edition of the US KUOSHU Championship, a high level competition with 25 countries engaged. The first day, the opening ceremony began with a spectacular lion dance followed by the American Anthem, and speeches from VIPs, with the KUOSHU federation president, as well as a high ranking US official, advisor of president Obama among them ; little doubt was left concerning the importance of the event.
Soon after, the competition started and our team was ready to face the jury’s expectations. The competition accounted for a great number of different styles, and it was extremely rewarding to experience this meeting of Kung Fu students coming from all around the world to give their very best.
The LHKF Team didn’t fail in the middle of this high level competition, since its members managed to rank among the 6 first places (in categories where applicants numbered around 20), and got two medals in advanced categories.
